The Jester is a Medieval character who enjoys fooling around and drinking, but when he dozes off, we slip away into a little dreamworld of the purest puppetry.
At long last, the apotheosis will present itself in a surprising metamorphosis and a magical pantomime from this Pulcinella-character.

Beat me up Scotty NEW
Beat me Up Scotty is a percussion band from Hasselt that was formed in 2006 when 2 men and 2 women came together.
These enthusiastic drummers have grown into a full band with around 17 band members.
The energetic rhythm of their music will get everybody moving at Open Days - Fairs - Birthday parties, etc.
Continuously on Saturday & Sunday in the Kid’s Corner and/or the Castle.

Highland Games for Kids
Together with our regular Highland Games on Sunday, this year we will also have Highland Games for Children for the first time.
Tossing the caber, weights for hights, nothing is too crazy for our kids!
Clan McCohn & Svartir Ulfarnir
Also this year the candid knights and Vikings from Clan Mc Cohn and Svartir Ulfarnir will camp out on the Alden Biesen grounds!
These “Black Wolves” give it their all in real-life demo’s and workshops in their encampment.

Euregio working test for Retrievers
On Saturday you can go to the English Park to enjoy a working test for Retrievers.
This working test, organised by the Hasseltse Hondenschool (Dog Training school from Hasselt), is a fetch competition for Retrievers, based on a real hunting situation. The international participants will have to compete in 5 different tests and will be judged by an official jury.
Furthermore, you will be able to enjoy a demo from some of the younger members.
What is learned in the cradle, is carried to the tomb!
